With the help of its locally-based Nashville teammates, Service King recently presented a donation in the amount of $25,000 to High Hopes Development Center. The donation, made possible through the ongoing Service King Cares initiative and contributions towards Service King’s annual Nashville Charity Golf Tournament, was officially presented on Monday, Nov. 13.
Proceeds from the tournament directly supported much-needed services for over 800 children and youth with special needs from 22 Middle Tennessee counties.
"Service King is truly a unique company, because, in addition to their business mission, they also have a huge mission to impact the communities where they are located," said Gail Powell, High Hopes Executive Director. "High Hopes is honored and grateful to be the beneficiary of the 2017 Service King Charity Golf Tournament. Their team donated many, many hours to produce a tournament that was fun for the golfers and helped improve the lives of the children of High Hopes. This important funding will allow us to provide educational services to preschool children as well as physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapies for children birth to 21 years. On behalf of the children of High Hopes, we thank Service King for their love, their service, and their dollars to help advance this mission."
In the four-year history of the Service King Nashville Charity Golf Tournament, the organization has raised $75,000 for local non-profit organizations.
“The entire Service King family is proud to partner with great organizations like High Hopes,” said Mike Abbott, Service King Market Vice President. “It’s our hope this small token of our deep appreciation for their work helps to further the mission of equipping children, youth and their families.”
