Service King and its teammates are excited to announce the company will host a comprehensive career and development day exclusively for Dallas-Fort Worth area military veterans and family members this week. The event, part of Service King's larger Mission 2 Hire initiative, is set for Thursday Dec. 3 inside the company's regional support center located at 808 S. Central Expwy in Richardson, Texas.
The event will provide veterans a free afternoon of networking opportunities and the chance to participate in expert panel discussions, career readiness workshops all followed by a networking lunch.
This is yet another exciting opportunity for Service King and our very own teammates to reach out and provide tangible career opportunities to our nation’s heroes,” said Chris Abraham, Service King CEO. “The brave men and women who served in the U.S. Armed Forces exemplify the very skillsets, leadership and commitment to excellence that we strive to recruit for our team. The Mission 2 Hire initiative has helped us do that through hiring more than 50 veterans since May and we’re thrilled to boost that number with events like this.”
Service King has significantly bolstered its commitment to hiring military veterans since the launch of its Mission 2 Hire initiative in May. The initiative reflects Service King's pledge to hire at least 500 armed forces veterans and family members in the next five years. Service King has already recruited and hired more than 57 U.S. veterans since launching Mission 2 Hire and is expected to increase that number before the end of the year.
